New Year’s Resolution Themes

A few years back, my friend Kevin introduced the concept of New Year’s Resolution Themes to me that he learned about from GCP Grey.

The idea here is to NOT set rigid goals, but instead to consider a thematic focus that provides flexibility and inspiration throughout the year. Themes encourage sustainable, positive progress without the pressure of specific milestones. For a full breakdown, watch the video below:

In 2023, my theme was music. I started listening to indie country, rekindled my interest in playing guitars, and even started building them.

In 2024, my theme was nutrition. It took me a while, but I dialed in my eating and found a short kettlebell routine that I’ve been able to fit into my schedule at least three times per week.

This year, my theme is writing.
