I definitely need to start embracing AI - I'm exactly one of these 'computer illiterates' you mention and instead of lamenting the state of things, I suppose it's time to buckle up and figure out how it works. Been experimenting but still find it so overwhelming and mind-blowing.
I would approach it with a play-like mindset. Don’t try to use it for “productivity.”
Ask it to rewrite an email to your accountant in the style of Dr. Seuss. Paste something you’ve already written and ask it to come up with a signature cocktail based on your writing. Have it meal plan for you.
Don’t worry about the different models, just choose one and play.
I used to consider myself technologically challenged back when I got my first iPhone and had to call my daughter to help me finish setting it up. But this grandpa is embracing AI, learning more about it and actually doing some creating. My first artistic rendering is still a work in progress but I’ll let a select few see the finished product. You’re right, AI is here to stay.
I understand that people are ethically opposed to it for how the data was scraped without consent, but I think it’s toothpaste that’s not going back in the tube. Ignore it at your own peril… until it undergirds everything and you simply can’t avoid it.

Terrific advice, thanks. I need to look beyond the doom and gloom and embrace the fun side of it. I just need to be less of a luddite.

That’s very cool to hear. Would love to see what you come up with.
I really don't understand people who boast about not trying AI! It's going to become so integral to everyday life, to ignore it seems silly!

thanks so much for the mention! Grateful to be included amongst so many great people!
Appreciate the mention! And the logo you created is really cool! Can't imagine how much time has to be spent creating this without AI.
Certainly more than 60 seconds 😀
