Two for Tuesday: your subconscious and Ben Franklin
Two creative sparks to elevate your week.
Hey friends, here are some quick creative sparks to evelate your week!
Things that make you go “Hmm?”
Take pause to notice the things that make you say, “Hmm?” Perhaps it’s a clever turn of phrase in a podcast, a color scheme in a design, or song that makes you tap your toes. How can you turn your subconscious awareness into action in your own work?
A shorter letter
In a letter to the Royal Society of London regarding his work with electricity, Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying:
I have already made this paper too long, for which I must crave pardon, not having now time to make it shorter.
Getting to the point isn’t a new problem, but in a world of increasing competition for attention, can you get to the point faster?
That’s all for now
See you again on Friday for my regular roundup of creative takeaways from the week.
Until then, keep creating!

Re: Ben Franklin, in a word: no. I can't. I struggle with this, more than anything else. Waffling, rambling, etc. Tough skill, been at it for years.
Blaise Pascal also said something similar, I quote that a lot: "Sorry for making this so long, I didn't have the time to make it shorter" (he said it more eloquently)
