I think the Ben Franklin one is better, actually. More eloquent.
It's interesting with quotes these days. We're becoming more and more aware of who actually said what, and whereas in the past people would repeatedly share famous quotes, there's now so much more awareness of trying to get it right. All sorts of dispute over who said what. For ages I would quote Hemingway's 'write drunk, edit sober' and I recently discovered that he definitely never said that.

That was the quote I wanted to use, but my research led me to a state of uncertainty regarding who actually said it.
